- Submission was accepted
- No instructions for the creation of the actual poster yet
- As soon as there are instructions we will do an extra board meeting
- The board members will be at the iPRES (Tobias only virtually)
- Most of the intended referenced sources like the XSLT are coming along
- No decision yet about the examples
- Goal to be ready for the conference
- Aaron created a generated schema documentation like the old one: https://mets.github.io/METS2_Profile_Docs/METS2_profile.html
- There are submitting instructions for the old profiles: https://www.loc.gov/standards/mets/profile_docs/submission.html
- Do we need other/more detailed instructions for the new submitting process via Github?
- We can define a submitting template in Github
- The template could indicate fields that should be filled out
- One recommendation for submissions: Use persistent identifiers for external references
- There is a submitting person needed, not just an organization
- Nate (LoC) contacted us about links within a registered profile that are outdated. These are references to schemas at the LoC that were moved.
- The METS Board does not maintain registered profiles and update their content. The profiles are provided as they were submitted. Updates and changes must be provided by the submitting institutions.
- This case is special as the references point to LoC sources. If the LoC could install redirects for the outdated URLs it would be helpful.
- Karin will send an answer to the request on the board list
- There is a METS 2 Overview about the changes and motivation of METS 2
- There is an old METS Overview as quick guide to METS, that was translated in several languages
- A Quick Guide would still make sense
- The existing METS 2 overview was used for the Primer
- Chapter 2 of the Primer is already like a Quick Guide. It could be used to create a new version of the METS Overview / Quick Guide.
- Work on examples for Primer and Poster
- Work on other sources that will be referenced in the Poster
