Feature ideas

Please list your ideas and feature requests here so samtap and other devs can choose and develop whichever they think is useful and/or possible. Feel free to add your comments or even organize the ideas into categories if neccessary.

• Stream

  • Two way audio

  • Sub-stream (dual stream 1080p30 + 480p30)

  • Allow to chose between RTSP and RTMP (usefull for webapp and/or android/ios app)

• Recording :

  • Record to SD card/loop recording (FFMPEG?)

  • SMB (Samba) server to access files on the camera/SD card/USB

  • taking photos and uploading them to FTP / sending them in email every X minutes

  • mounting a mass storage device connected to the USB port

  • change EXT2 of main partition to e.g FAT32 as more friendly to microSD cards FS (Due to fewer read/write cycles)

  • In case of troubles with mounting or writing to SDcard try to check and fix SD card FileSystem automatically

• Motion Detection

  • PIR Motion detection

  • HW Motion detection

• Audio

  • playing audio files from any of the mounted volumes

  • DLNA and AirPlay server to play music from a remote device

• WebUI and conf

  • disabling the status light, just like in the Mi Home app

  • web UI to configure resolution/bitrate/IR control (IR cut and/or IR LED setting)/enable OSD

  • add config page allowing adjustment of resolution, rotation, etc
