These are some practices recommended by TA in PS to follow in presenting the Demo:

  • The aim of the Demo is present the user interface and functionality part apart from code, implementation, API, terminal, etc... (teachers have access to all the code through the GitHub.)
  • You can think of the Demo as if you are showing your product to potential investors.
  • It is recommended to have person who is talking different that the person who is showing the product from the laptop. It is important to keep interactivity with audience rather than having speaker who is busy with laptop and dealing with the product.
  • Start the Demo from the strong parts. e.g. if your mobile application is functioning better than web start the Demo with the mobile application.
  • Don't do the same thing on web and mobile. e.g. you can signup on mobile and login from web. (try different functionalities as the time is limited)
  • Recommended structure of the Demo:
    • Introduction: What is our domain about, brief intro about what will you show
    • Body: Showing the product
    • Conclusion: Maybe future improvements
