Analysis of Related Software Systems

• Since the domain was selected as "Paintings" in the previous meetings, a search for different software systems having same/similar domain on the Web was performed. As a consequence of that research, three Websites having similar domain are found, which are WikiArt, Artvee, and Google Arts & Culture.
• On Wikidata, for a specific painting, many attributes are available; however, according to the needs and/or requirements of these three software systems, some of them are not used. In fact, "Our Desired System" will also use the necessary domains from Wikidata, as the others do.
• Three inspected software systems were lacking some essential attributes and features such as geographical location, country name, and information about the museum of paintings. Moreover, attributes decided in the previous meeting to be beneficial to include in "Our Desired System", which are inventory number, significant event, spoken text audio are also missing in these three rival software systems.
• A comparison table is created with the attributes and features available on Wikidata comparing three current systems and "Our Desired System". Some attributes may be available in some systems, but not available some other systems; or even some attributes are available in all systems, or are not available in any systems. What is available and what is missing may be easily detected in this comparison table below.
• Note that "Main Subject" and "Named After" attributes are not available on WikiArt; however, in its "Articles" section, one may detect these information after reading several paragraphs, which is not the aim of "Our Desired System".
