User Guide: Quick Start
This is just a very limited set of instructions, enough to get you up and running and exploring the new features LaserWeb has to offer.
Ethernet is not finished yet, so the only option is to connect via USB. Make sure that USB is chosen, choose the correct Com port for your smoothieboard, and baud rate is 115K or 250k and click Connect.
You can launch a product tour by clicking on the red iSUPPORT button, and choosing the "Take a tour of LaseWeb" option. You can stop the tour any time by licking the End Tour button that will be in the product tour window.
Click the Settings tab on the left hand side and go through the various tabs and configure each option with the appropriate value. Make sure you configure all the necessary options or the software will create errors and warnings that halt the software. You can also back up or restore settings from the last tab of the Settings area.
Click on the open button and navigate to the desired file location and choose one of the following file types: .PNG, .JPG, .JPEG, .BMP, .Gcode, .SVG, .DXF, or .STL
The pop up window "Touchpads" can be enabled or disabled in the settings section under the Tool tab, selecting Disable or Enable for the touch pad option.
The CNC Cam functions can be enabled or disabled in the settings section under the Tool tab, selecting Disable or Enable for the CNC CAM option.
It is very simple, enter your one time setup fee (if you charge one), the material cost per square CM, the cost per linear CM of laser head motion, and the number units being made. It will calculate the total for you.
Click the red iSUPPORT button and choose the "Open a Bug Report" option.
