Introduction to Baseball Card Tracker

Baseball Card Tracker (BBCT) is an application that allows you to create a database of various types of baseball cards and track the card value.

With BBCT, you can:

• Add details of baseball players
• Search for baseball players based on pre-defined search criteria
• Modify details of baseball players
• Delete player details from the database

Adding Cards

Overview

Add Cards allows you to create a database entry of the card that you own. You can define the card details and associate a player with each card. You can also create multiple unique entries with the same card details.

To add a baseball card

1. In the main menu, click Add Cards. Add Cards details entry page opens.
2. In Card Details, define the values for the following:
   • Card Brand, the name of the company that publishes the card.
   • Card Year, the year when the card was published
   • Card Number, the unique number assigned to the card.
   • Card Value, the value assigned to the card. You must enter a valid dollar value and prefix the $ sign.
   • Card Count, the number of cards created with the same details.
3. In Player Details, define the values for the following:
   • Player Name, the name of the player associated with the card that you define.
   • Player Position, choose the position from which the player plays the game.
4. Click Add Card to save the card details.

Searching and managing cards

Overview

Find Cards allows you to search for cards based on pre-defined criteria. You can then edit the required card details or delete the card.

To search and manage the cards by year

1. In the main menu, click Find Cards.
2. Click Find Cards By Year button.
3. In Card Year, type the year for which which you want to view the cards.
4. Click the Find button. The card details of the first card that matches the year appears.
5. Edit the required card details. You can edit only the Card Value and Card Count.
6. Click Done to save the changes.

Note: You can navigate to the next card that matches the year by clicking Previous or Next buttons. You can also select the Delete this card option or click the Delete button to delete the card details from the database.

1. In the main menu, click Find Cards.
2. Click Find Cards By Number button.
3. In Card Number, type the unique card number for which which you want to view the cards.
4. Click the Find button. The card details of the first card that matches the year appears.
5. Edit the required card details. You can edit only the Card Value and Card Count.
6. Click Done to save the changes.

Note: You can select the Delete this card option or click the Delete button to delete the card details from the database.
