The Medium Energy Gamma-ray Astronomy library (MEGAlib) is a set of software tools which are designed to simulate and analyze data of gamma-ray detectors, with a specialization on Compton telescopes. While MEGAlib was originally developed for astrophysics, it has been expanded and used for ground based applications such as medical imaging and homeland security. The library comprises all necessary data analysis steps from simulation/measurements via event reconstruction to image reconstruction.
For futher details about MEGAlib, please visit its main website located at megalibtoolkit.com
Github is MEGAlib's public repository and issue tracker. "Public repository" means that only code ready for publication is pushed to it. For all other purposes an internal developer repository exists. In this public repository the master branch is the development tree. If somebody requests a new feature and wants to test it before a new release is published, then you will find it there. From the master tree the release branches are forked, with the following naming convention: MEGAlib_vX.XZ. In this branch you find all bug fix releases for the given minor release.
