Great, I'm really excited about the read receipts feature in the chat app! It's something that I haven't seen in any web3 messaging app yet, so I'm really looking forward to seeing it in action.

I use WhatsApp frequently, and one of my favorite features is the ability to see if my messages have been viewed or not. It would be great to have this feature in Konnektr XMTP chat.

This XRC proposes a new content type that allows the sender to understand the status of the outgoing messages and marks them as ‘delivered’ and ‘seen’.

I feel in the Abstract there should be three status of messages: sent, delivered and seen as mentioned in the other sections of the proposal.

Great. Read receipts would be an awesome integration to the existing XMTP ecosystem.

Agreed we need this very badly for Lenster 🌸, but we also need to keep privacy concern in mind by adding more preference to users like they can control should I show the read receipt or not ✅
