Description

Separates the notion of authentication mode (authenticated, anonymous, local) from whether or not why.log() should automatically upload profiles.

Changes

  • Makes allow_local default to True
  • Adds upload_on_log configuration parameter orthogonal to session type (aka authentication mode)
  • Prompts for upload_on_log in interactive sessions
  • WhyLabsWriter::write() will warn about possible redundant uploads if called in a session with update_on_log enabled

Closes whlabs/whylogs#1570
