In order to properly implement this Epic we need first of all to have a way to measure the reliability so that we can show enhancements.
We had a session today about measuring reliability from the Waku point of view. The conclusions we reached are:
The DST team will take care of the waku-relay reliability.
The nwaku team will help to measure and analyse the lighpush/filter reliability from within nwaku.
It is quite open how the implementation will be but the idea is to have some nodes scattered in the network and measure how lightpushed messages are being delivered through filter protocol.
The networkmonitor can be used as a reference on how to implement this reliability measurement tool.
The work made by DST can be very helpful to apply a similar approach within lightpush/filter.
We leave the Store reliability analysis for the future. Notice that we haven't completed the Sync protocol.
The measures should leave the status-go codebase aside.
