Desktop
The user-interface for the carduinocroid is a desktop-application. By its means the user can control the car via the keyboard or a gamepad and see the live camera video as well as all important data associated with the car (battery, temperature).
The window of the graphical user interface is divided in three areas: camera video, status bar and a section for car information and properties.
The status bar displays comprehensive data about the status of the car battery, the remaining capacity of the smartphone battery, the temperature of the motor-driver-IC and the connection status between the parts of the carduinodroid. More detailed information is shown in the tooltips.
The right area of the window is subdivided in three sections. The section "Car" shows information that is relevant during the driving of the car: distance measured by the ultrasonic sensors, current steering angle, current speed and GPS coordinates. Furthermore you can limit the steering angle and the maximum speed in this section as well as activate the lights and the horn or enable/disable the automatic braking function based on the ultrasonic sensors.
The section "Properties" contains the basic setup of the carduinodroid. This includes connection and camera setup as well as the choice of a gamepad and the language. The third section "Log" shows a log of all relevant events during the drive.
