☕ Work Experience Overview

• Team Lead at Lendesk in Vancouver, Canada (Jan 2020 - Feb 2021)

  • Led the firm’s largest full stack team of 10 (7 direct reports: 6 engineers & QA) and delivered 6 projects on schedule with low churn.
  • Drove agile processes for the team, led workshops and produced technical roadmaps to prioritize areas of technical debt in a complex legacy system.
  • Performed code reviews, production queries and helped fix high-priority bugs affecting our core product.
  • Managed internal responses to high-priority incidents affecting consumer-facing products.

  • Built features and integrations including “Know Your Customer” for the API & developed admin dashboard utilities for a money transfer application.
  • Solicited stakeholder input to build a product backlog including features, bugs and refactors.
  • Led a back end engineering team of 3 to deliver a secure money transfer app using Rails, PostgreSQL & Heroku.
  • Helped develop a fully-componentized SOC2-compliant banking API, resulting in the client being able to issue their own points cards.

  • Built a full-stack Rails student-coaching messaging application for an NGO based in London, UK.
  • Solely responsible for troubleshooting and delivering the product to the client under a tight deadline.

• Software Engineer and Scrum Master at TrueView in London, United Kingdom (November 2016-Present)
  • Built with a team the mobile dating app API using Rails, Active Record, and PostgreSQL.
  • Built a full stack administration dashboard for user profiles using Rails, JavaScript (jQuery), and Slim.
  • Created innovative and intuitive product features such as a mutual matching algorithm and a boost product.
