Welcome to the SpatialStress wiki!

A documentation of an IFCAM (Indo-French Center for Applied Mathematics) project collaboration.

The project kick-off took place the 11.-12.06.2015 at St.André de Buèges in the south of France.

We are still figuring out how this project is structured regarding sub-projects and intended publications. So far, we discussed

  1. A comparative study on spatially explicit cellular automata models featuring heterogeneous sources of pressure. This involves the development of an R-package called caspr to run a series of cellular automata models an investigate their spatial patterns regarding spatial indicators of catastrophic shifts.
  2. An opinion paper on the definitions of terms and concepts in spatial analysis of catastrophic shifts. This aims at reducing ambiguity on the vocabulary of the such as 'tipping points' or 'criticality'.
  3. ...
