In release 0.4 we added full BDF support and a plenty of fonts.
If you need to use custom BDF then the only way is to build the project locally.
Though adding a new font is much easier now: just put your BDF in src/draw/fonts/bdf and it should appear in the list.
Also there is a BDF font preview tool available on https://dev.lopaka.app/font-preview You can select any BDF and see how it will look in Lopaka
