Data analysis on Bellabeat, a wellness tech company focused on empowering women through health and fitness tracking devices. The goal of this project is to analyze user data to uncover trends in fitness habits, sleep patterns and activity levels with the aim to improve their products and marketing strategies
Urška Sršen and Sando Mur founded Bellabeat, a high-tech company that manufactures health-focused smart products.Sršen used her background as an artist to develop beautifully designed technology that informs and inspires women around the world. Collecting data on activity, sleep, stress, and reproductive health has allowed Bellabeat to empower women with knowledge about their own health and habits. Since it was founded in 2013, Bellabeat has grown rapidly and quickly positioned itself as a tech-driven wellness company for women.
As a junior data analyst on the marketing analytics team, my roles and objectives were as follows
- Analyse any smart device usage data,
- Discover any behaviour, insights and trends from the consumer's engagement with the device
- Select one of the Bellabeat's products(Spring water bottle, Leaf wellness tracker or Time wellness watch) to apply the insights and findings in the final presentation
- Present findings and provide support to the rest of the marketing team
This Kaggle dataset contains personal fitness tracker from thirty fitbit users.
- Thirty eligible Fitbit users consented to the submission of personal tracker data, including minute-level output for physical activity, heart rate, and sleep monitoring
- It includes information about daily activity, steps, and heart rate that can be used to explore users’ habits
R, SQL and Microsoft Excel for data cleaning, transformation, manipulation and visualization. I would also use Tableau for further visualization and presentation.
