Modification and addition of new utility classes to the existing CSS code have been made to enhance the styles and provide additional customization options. New utility classes like .flex-center, .py-4, .text-xl, .border, .blurred, and .rotating have been introduced to aid in various layout and design requirements. Additionally, the original scrollbar styles, base styles, and animated image styles have been preserved.
