So I know there's already an image source of older scanned-in USGS topographic maps hosted by Caltopo. But I think it's sometimes useful to reference the current web-hosted USGS "The National Map" topographic basemap. I don't know if there was a reason that it hasn't been included until now (is it just too redundant with the scanned maps?) but I figured I'd see if I could go through the process to add it and see what happened.
I'm not certain I've got every field exactly right, but hopefully it's close enough to be useful. I copied the bounding coordinates from USGSImagery.geojson, which is hosted on the same list of USGS Map Services.
