What is the paper about?

This paper describes and analyses the data from the FAIR assessment of phytolith data.

It combines these findings with those from our community survey to make recommendations for individual researchers and our community to move towards FAIR data implementation.

It also provides a first version of the full guidance on FAIR data for phytolith research - FAIR Phytolith Guidelines.
