HowTo chat with OMEMO

  1. Open a Chat Window with a contact who can use OMEMO, you should see an orange icon added to the chat window
  2. If your Contact supports OMEMO, encryption is activated by default.
  3. You can check if encryption is enabled/disabled by reading the green status message printed to the chat window
  4. On your first message, the Plugin querys your contacts encryption keys and presents them as fingerprint in a window that pops up
  5. You have to at least trust one fingerprint to send messages
