there is still no "edit by maintainer button" - it might be, that I should not merge to main branch.

If this is true, @dalito, could you please create a feature branch in the playground, that I could use to merge to ? (e.g. feature/biocat-vocab ?)

@markdoerr - I found an explanation for the problem: The option "Allow edits from maintainers" is (surprisingly) not available for forks stored in an organization (https://github.com/orgs/community/discussions/5634). This is also why the commit-action failed (with code 128). It lacked access to your PR branch.

There is no real solution except contributing from a fork that is not stored in an organization, so in your case from markdoer/voc4cat-playground. All other contributors used such private forks. You were the first unlucky one who used an organization-fork and hit the limitation. Being able to commit to the PR-branch is an important part of the workflow to get rid of the submitted xlsx before the merge; we cannot skip it.
