Collect Earth Online
Collect Earth Online (CEO) is a free, open-source system for viewing and interpreting high-resolution satellite imagery. This platform allows users to efficiently collect up-to-date information about their environment and observe changes over time. CEO was developed by SERVIR and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. Datasets available on this platform include MapBox, Sentinel-2, and Planetscope satellite imagery.
Prerequisite:
- Satellite image intepretation
- Navigate to the CEO Home Page on your browser
- On the upper right corner of the page, click on the Login/Register tab
- Select the Register tab under the "New to CEO? section"
- Fill in the details, accept the terms, and finally click on Register. If the registration is successful, you will receive an email from the CEO team.
- Once your account has been created, you can log in with your email and password here
Collect Earth Online allows multiple users to work on specific projects as a group or institution and this facilitates the collection of training data or labels.
- Login to CEO.
- Send your email to the admin of the institution for your email to be added.
- Once this is done, you should see the institution's name as part of your affiliation list. Under the "Your Affiliations" section, click the VISIT tab to have access to the various group projects.
