So. Many. Changes!

musicco 1.2 is awesome

First off, sorry if you got excited about the android app, it's gone. It is too much effort for something that does not solve enough problems.

Instead, the web player UI has changed to become fully responsive and usable on most devices, mobile or not.

Check out the new screenshots on the home page to see the new skin.

Also, check out the brand new website at musicco.org and the live demo at musicco.org/demo

Here is a brief changelog:

  • new, responsive skin
  • the android client is officially dead and not making a comeback
  • load .lrc files from disk if they exist
  • reorder albums in the current playlist
  • play a random album from the playlist
  • share permalinks to individual albums
  • use an auth token to log in when you want to bypass the login page
  • performance improvements
  • library refresh happen in the background, you no longer have to wait for it to finish to keep browsing and adding songs to your playlists
  • much improved cover art update options
  • shift-click previous/next buttons to skip to the previous/next album
  • Oh, and hey, this blog is new too!

That's all folks!
