October 2024 teaching schedule

September 30th: Orientation Day

October 3rd: First Software work session

• High level overview presentation (+ minimal ROS basics to understand)
• Split into groups, help with environment setup (point them to Wiki Cheat Sheets for installation guide)
• Assign take home git tutorial, Wiki reading

October 17th: Second work session

• Package organization deep dive lecture
• Go over any questions on Git tutorial, Wiki, then help with installation problems
• Assign take home ROS tutorial

October 24th: Third work session

• Go over ROS tutorial and answer any questions
• Assign take home planner tutorial

October 31st: Fourth work session (may be quick because Halloween?)

• Go over planner tutorial and answer any questions
• Assign first tasks
• GOAL: By halloween all members are set up and at least halfway through tutorials
