Because of the relatively small size of the database(~250?) our plan is to begin manually doing some information extraction on each of the job entries. The type of information we want to extract are as follows:

• location
• date or date range
• salary range
• job category (alt ac vs. tenure track) more
• organizational location (library vs. DH center) more
• tempory vs. permantent(ish)
• job skill level / skill listings
• position title/category

Other stuff

interestingly I think some DH job taxonomies are brewing out of this data.
