Overview

Spire.DocViewer for .NET, a professional and innovative Word viewer library, enables developers to create any WinForm applications to open, view, print and convert Word document in C# and Visual Basic for .NET (2.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.0 ClientProfile).

Functions

Open and View

Spire.DocViewer for .NET enables developers to load and display Word document contents in Form or open specified document from directory. Also, developers can view Word with zoom in/out, page up/down, moving to the first/last and specified page, fitting page/width.

Print

Spire.DocViewer for .NET enables developers to print Word document with variety of settings, such as margins, page orentation, page size etc. Also, users can choose to print current page, specified one, multiple pages or all pages.

Objects

Spire.DocViewer for .NET supports variety of document objects, including Text(font, color, size, style, positon), image (position, height, width), paragraph(alignment, spacing, indent), table(row height, column width, border and shading) and bookmark.

Convert

Spire.DocViewer for .NET eanbles developers to convert Word to PDF, HTML and RTF quickly with high fidelity. Also, conversion between Word different versions (.doc and .docx) is supported.

You can get a .zip package when compeleting downloading. Then, extract it to get .msi file. Double click the extracted file to install Spire.DocViewer for .NET step by step.

During installing, Spire.DocViewer controls will be added in Visual Stuido Toolbox automatically. If you are using Visual Studio right now, a dialog box will pop up to inform you to shutdown all running instances of Visual Studio and Retry or Cancel witout Spire.DocViewer controls added. And after installing, you can use the shortcut "Add Controls into VS Toolbox".

Use DLL and Run Demo

Before coding, you need to use the appropriate dlls in your project.

If you have been created your project, right click project name to add reference. Click Browse tab and choose Bin directroy of Spire.Doc folder. Then, choose Spire.DocViewer.Forms.dll in NET2.0/NET3.5/NET4.0/NET4.0 ClientProfile folder.

And you can learn result of realized functions of Spire.PDFViewer for .NET by running demos. There are two method to run these demos.

1. Open the appropriate solution file (.sln) in CS or VB folder under WinFormDemos directory to get all projects this package has. To run the specified project, right click project name (for example Open) → Debug → Start new instance. And then the result will be shown.
2. Open WinFormDemos folder → CS/VB folder → Specified directory (for example DocDocumentViewer) → Specified Project folder (for example Export) → Open project (.csproj) → Debug → Start Debugging or Press F5.
