I am a software engineer with a lean towards all things user-facing. Past projects I've enjoyed include XR research & development (3D UI/UX for live performances, city maps, and more!), interaction design + engineering, simple graphics programming, and making software more accessible. I'm happiest when I feel like I'm building something that improves and brings out humanity, but not in the "tech visionary" way, like, actually.
At Roblox, I’ve been working primarily with our React-based Lua client and occasionally C++ game engine code. Projects have included building a timespent "session" management system and engineering our UX across desktop, console, mobile, and more. Building UI compatible with many platforms is an entertaining problem. Building UI which is usable for all people is an important one. I get to focus on both!
At home, I've also taken some interest in building audio plugins for DAWs, 3D web, visual programming, and bite-sized indie game dev. The truth is, though, most of these projects never see the light of day. I'm a creatively driven person and my life doesn't revolve around technology. Rather, I feel like I have a symbiotic relationship with it where it helps me bring my ideas to life, and in turn I use the skills I pick up doing that to give back and improve the foundations of our technology.
My greatest passion in life is making things. This manifests most often with music, creative writing, programming, and digital art. My second greatest passion is making things better for the people around me. In everything I do, I hope to make progress on both fronts.
