How to Collect Bug Report Logs

Warning!

The logs may contain information about you, your computer, internet connection, and/or your character. Make sure you remove any personal information from the log files you are not willing to share.

In some cases, you may be requested to submit logs with your bug reports.

Collecting Logs

1. Start F-Chat Rising
2. Set F-Chat menu > Rising > System Log Level to silly
   • On Windows and Linux, you can access the F-Chat menu from a cogwheel icon on the top left corner of the client window, right of 'F-Chat' title
   • On MacOS, you can access the F-Chat menu from the menu bar at the top of your screen
3. Repeat whatever is causing the problem
4. Set the log level back to info level -- silly can slow down the app
5. You can find the application logs stored on your system
6. Review the logs and share them with the development team
