Import Book

Import is a secondary feature designed to help faculty create content for their books.

What's the User Need?

Faculty members want to create a new book on H2O, and need a simple way create the book's different sections without having to create them one by one. The faculty member already has a breakdown of how their course is set up, often in a syllabus. They need to be able to pull it easily into H2O.

How does H2O address this need?

H2O lets faculty import a document using markdown. For example, faculty can copy and paste their syllabus into the H2O text editor, and then use markdown to designate content types and nesting. Upon submit, the structure and components of the book are created, and the faculty user can then flesh out the components using edit.
