GoOSe Project Planet Configuration

Planet Policies

  • planet feeds should be directly releated to GoOSe topics (troublesome pkgs, tasks, announcements, etc)
    • this means you need to either only blog about GoOSe releated topics or export a goose category feed which contains only GoOSe releated items
  • ANYONE can join the planet if they meet the above requirements.

Adding yourself to the planet

  • fork on github
  • git clone your fork
  • add your hackergotchi:
    • copy a png file to siteroot/images/faces/ which matches your filename above
    • should be 65x85 pixels
    • facing left looks best (towards your blog)

or -

  • add your gravatar:

  • add a stanza like this to the bottom of config/config.ini:

    # goozbach
    http://feeds.feedburner.com/GoozbachsTechTips-gooseproject-atom]
    name = Derek Carter
    face = faces/goozbach.png [or] gravatar = 85203b21c562062e5641f0b8d4b98d9b

  • git ci and git push

  • submit pull request

  • sit back and wait for pull request to be merged

  • cronjob on planet.gooseproject.org will automaticly pull in your change once the main repo contains it.
