It was easier to update this project to 0.28 than to install an older version of cargo-dist.

I ran:

git checkout -b update-dist
curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -LsSf https://github.com/axodotdev/cargo-dist/releases/latest/download/cargo-dist-installer.sh | sh
dist init
