How much power does a Raspberry Pi draw?

That depends on the configuration and on what you are doing with it.

Here are a few data points - your mileage may vary. In all these values the system is logged in at a bash prompt.

Pi Zero

Pi A+

  • 80 mA camera module
  • 160 mA camera module, wi-fi

Pi B - camera module, wi-fi

  • 340 mA camera module
  • 470 mA camera module, wi-fi

Pi 2 B

  • 220 mA no peripherals
  • 260 mA wi-fi

Pi 3 B

  • 270 mA built-in wi-fi
