THIS IS A BETA
Extract ALL the files from the "DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.zip" (link below) zip into a temporary folder and just run the installer which'll replace any previous version installed automatically.
KNOWN BUG
There is a known bug where audio will cut off if recording is not enabled.
To fix this, please:
- allow recording
- set recording to single file
- enable recording
Changelog
- Completely rewritten audio pipeline
- Recording feature updated to support the new audio pipeline
- Support for new advanced radio effects - AM blocking tone and FM "picketing"
- FM picketing will jump between FM signals at random when multiple are received on a single radio
- AM blocking tone will apply if more than 1 transmission is received on an AM radio - or for HAVEQUICK (HQ) if more than 2 are received.
- For the advanced radio effects IRL Radio Rx Effects must be enabled by the server
- Basic support for the SK60 mod
- Small bug fix with control binding thanks to @FlisherOfatale
- Background support for Xbox controls added thanks to @gcask
- Indication of recording opt-in status on the player list. R indicates they've opted in to be recorded
- Probably a crap load of bugs 😅 A lot has changed under the hood
DCS / VR Compatible Overlay
The overlay has 4 states, hidden, small, small+volume & full that you can see by pressing Left Control + Left Shift + Escape by default.
The Full state has a title bar that you can click and drag the window around with. The window position will be saved for when DCS is next opened.
To configure the overlay hotkey, run DCS and go to the SRS Section inside the DCS Settings

For the server you need to open TCP AND UDP PORTS 5002 unless you've changed the server port using the server config file. The server tries to open the ports using UPNP
Banned IPs are added to a file created where ever the server is run called banned.txt. To unban, just delete the IP from the file and restart the server.
The server will always open ONE PORT in two Protocols TCP and UDP - you can control this with the Config file. If you cant press PTT but everything else looks fine - this is why and indicated with the VoIP Green Plug 👍

- UH1 - Only pilot has in-cockpit controls, other crew members get hotkeys by default (as each should have a comms panel but these are not implemented in DCS)
- Mi24 - Cockpit controls and DCS PTT support added for both seats - including the radio selector on both seats and optional hot mic. Thanks to Tarres & Zeen
- Mosquito - DCS PTT added for Pilot seat thanks to Tarres & Zeen. Support also added for the two other onboard radios
- Apache - Full integration including front and rear radio select via RTS as shown on EUFD and hot mic. Make sure always allow SRS Hotkeys is off for Hot Mic (and radio select) to work
- New Keybind - Added "Special Intercom Select & PTT" - this keybind will always temporarily select the intercom and transmit, when released, it'll switch back to whatever your last radio selected was. Added for the Apache but works on all relevant modules.
- Removed line of sight limitations on HF transmissions
- Fixed SRS not connected error on ejection
