Greetings,
I am writing on behalf of Eurotux (https://eurotux.com/), which actively utilizes Request Tracker for its internal ticketing and issue tracking needs. We have identified a specific requirement within RT that we believe would significantly benefit both the community and RT users.
The current state of the RT REST2 API lacks a "Set Password" endpoint, which is crucial for scenarios where an external frontend or user interface needs to facilitate password changes for RT user accounts.
We propose the addition of a "Set Password" endpoint to the RT REST2 API, allowing external applications to securely and programmatically change passwords for RT user accounts.
We kindly request your review of our pull request, as we believe this contribution would be beneficial not only to Eurotux but to the broader RT community.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
