If Beagle was a game, how would it be played?
Preserve the most knowledge on building with electronics in a way that is easy to apply
- We have to unify our efforts around something to make the process collaborative and reviewed, so working in the confines of Linux and BeagleBoard provides the defined opportunities for scoring
- For real knowledge preservation, there must be some way to eventually make money by applying the knowledge
-
Contribute a project of value to educational institutions
- Project should convey some fundamental reusable theory
- Project should be applicable to creating something useful in industry
- Get a kernel patch in the upstream Linux kernel
- Complete a cape design
- TODO
- Update education page to give template for tutorials and introduce https://github.com/beagleboard/cloud9-examples
- Add full contribution requirements for capes including overlays and software integrated into the default images
- Create custom guidance on creating kernel patches, including backlog of Beagle patches needing to land upstream
