There are a number of differences in the way Asset Manager serves Whitehall and Mainstream assets. Many of the differences are accidental and result in unnecessary code in Asset Manager. We should aim to bring as many of these differences into line in order to benefit from useful functionality while at the same time simplifying the Asset Manager code.
