Figma Local Font Extractor is a tool designed to help designers manage their font assets in Figma. It includes a Figma plugin and a desktop helper application that work together to allow users to extract and manage fonts used in their Figma designs (those installed in their computers). So they could send the fonts to another computer or their collaborators.
- Open Figma.
- Go to the Figma Plugin section in the Figma app.
- Search for "Font Sync" and add the plugin.
- Download the latest release of the Desktop Helper from the Releases page.
- Open the desktop app.
- Run the plugin inside figma.
- Open a Figma file where you want to manage fonts.
- Run the Font Sync plugin from the Figma interface.
- Use the plugin to list the fonts used in the document.
- On the desktop helper app, make sure you have selected a directory for storaging the files.
- Click the "Send to App" button in the plugin to send the font data to the Desktop Helper.
- The Desktop Helper will receive the data and allow you to extract and manage the fonts locally.
- List all fonts used in a Figma document.
- Extract fonts used in figma in your local system so you could send it to others easily.
- Manage font files and organize them in folders.
