"Krtrim Drshti" is Artificial Vision in Hindi

Image Analytics Using OpenCV

A big shoutout to Adrian Rosebrock for his awesome computer vision tutorials on PyImageSearch and Satya Mallik for LearnOpenCV

About the Content

Ever since the ImageNet competition in 2014, there has been an exponential rise in the capabilities of computer in processing, understanding, and now even generating digital images. Given the shear volume of images being generated, image analytics is only here to grow and improve the abilities of computers to understand images.

For the same reason it becomes an interesting area for any data science enthusiast to work in and develop a career in. From a data science perspective, image analytics range from using traditional computer vision algorithms of edge detection or morphological operations to state of the art neural network architectures to derive analytical value from images.

This tutorial series aims at covering this vast spectrum of image analytics techniques right from the very basic concepts to the most advanced ones. The series consists of jupyter notebooks for demonstrating core ideas in each topics accompanied by exercises on each topic to try your hands on.

Objectives

By the end of the tutorial series you will be able to easily import images and perform basic preprocessing to create more suitable features to use them in any analytics pipeline. In the more advanced chapters, you will be able to create data ingestion pipelines for neural networks and learn to perform classification, object detection, instance segmentation, style transfer using SOTA neural network architectures

Software Pre-requisites

You will need a Python environment with Anaconda, OpenCV, Jupyter notebooks, Keras, Tensorflow installed.

Knowledge Pre-requisites

Working knowledge of Python and Jupyter notebooks is essential for this course. Hands-on experience with OpenCV and Keras will also be helpful.
