[미국](https://namu.wiki/w/%EB%AF%B8%EA%B5%AD) [뉴욕](https://namu.wiki/w/%EB%89%B4%EC%9A%95(%EB%8F%84%EC%8B%9C)) [맨해튼](https://namu.wiki/w/%EB%A7%A8%ED%95%B4%ED%8A%BC)에 있는 크고 아름다운 공원. 많은 사람들이 착각하는 것 중에 하나가 뉴욕의 센트럴 파크가 미국에서 제일 큰 도시 공원이라고 생각하는 것인데 도시내에 위치하고 있는 가장 큰 공원은 샌프란시스코에 있는 골든 게이트 파크이다. 센트럴 파크 크기는 341ha 이고 골든 게이트 파크의 크기는 412ha이다. 훨씬 크다. 1856년 조경가 프레드릭 로 옴스테드와 건축가 칼베르트 보가 설계하였다. 맨하튼 섬 한 가운데, 진짜 알짜 배기 땅을 혼자서 차지하고 있다. 맨 위 사진의 녹지대가 전부 센트럴 파크다. 하도 넓다 보니 공원을 기준으로 남부와 북부의 치안 상태도 다르다는 이야기가 있다. 그도 그럴것이, 북쪽 끝은 **할렘**이고 남쪽은 뉴욕에서 번화한 쇼핑 지역이자 고급 쇼핑가인 5번가에 맞닿아 있고 + 각종 미술관 + 각종 회사들의 고층 건물 + 부유층 거주지인 어퍼 웨스트/이스트(Upper West/East)가 있다.
