PART X

These tracks all share the same format. However, they are required to meet these specific standards:

image

At the same time, there can only be one note on the first two lanes, and one note on the last 3 lanes. If you upload a chart with invalid chords onto Partypack, it will be denied.

MIDI Keys

Normal Notes

  • 60, 61, 62, 63: Easy
  • 72, 73, 74, 75: Medium
  • 84, 85, 86, 87: Hard
  • 96, 97, 98, 99, 100: Expert

Lift Markers

  • 66, 67, 68, 69: Easy Lifts
  • 78, 79, 80, 81: Medium Lifts
  • 90, 91, 92, 93: Hard Lifts
  • 102, 103, 104, 105, 106: Expert Lifts

Note

Lifts are markers. You are supposed to place the normal note, along with the lift. If your lift note does not have the same lane note on the Normal keys, it may be denied as invalid.

Special

  • 116: Overdrive
    • An overdrive note will be a hold note, and the notes that play during its hold time will be overdrive notes.

EVENTS

EVENTS is a track which contains MIDI Text Events. Here is a list of those which this track must contain:

  • [music_start] Defines when the music starts and stops crowd cheering.
  • [preview] Defines where the preview starts.
  • [music_end] Defines when the music is near to end and the crowd starts cheering.
  • [end] Defines when the score screen should appear.

If you upload your track to Partypack without these MIDI Events, it may be denied.

BEAT

BEAT is a track containing BEAT ticks. These are used to show the purple lines that span across the entire highway.

Keys

  • 12: Section tick
    • When a new section (or bar) happens, the "Beat" tick must not occur.
  • 13: Beat tick
    • This note must be in every beat.

Note

Both of these are recommended to be not more than 2 steps (half a beat) long. Their recommended length are a step (Quarter beat).

SECTION

SECTION is also a track containing MIDI Text Events. A list of those are available here.

Note

If your chart is found to not have these, it may be denied. Who doesn't want the band members vibin' to your track?
