Make sure your python version is install with env PYTHON_CONFIGURE_OPTS="--enable-framework" pyenv install x.x.x Then, in project .Rprofile, add line Sys.setenv(RETICULATE_PYTHON='YOUR VIRTUALENV PYTHON')
