Project Unicorn - Professionalize your Container Enterprise

alt text

Welcome to Project Unicorn - a hands on workshop to widen your skills within the Kubernetes space. Project Unicorn is the successor of Project phoenix (which is not a prerequisite for this workshop!) and is about to leverage advanced topics within the Kubernetes/container ecosystem.

What we want to achieve

  1. Challenge 1 - Create a Kubernetes cluster with Azure Active Directory integration
  2. Challenge 2 - Learn about Kubernetes scheduling in detail and resource management
  3. Challenge 3 - Learn about Kubernetes isolation strategies and network policies
  4. Challenge 4 - Implement ingress rules and get to know advanced ingress configuration
  5. Challenge 5 - Create a Kubernetes cluster behind an Azure Application Gateway with a Web Application Firewall (WAF)
  6. Challenge 6 - Learn about Managed Service Identity / Managed Pod Identity
  7. Challenge 7 - Get familiar with the sidecar pattern
  8. Challenge 8 - Service Mesh FTW! Learn about Istio and the various features of it.

How to start

It is as simple as following the challenges from 1 to 8.

Happy hacking! 😄
