<abstract>
<p> Yǝsḥaq, a devoted priest and abbot, celebrated the Marian feast each year with
great devotion but faced financial hardships that hindered his ability to care
for the poor. Unable to manage the monastery, he fled to the Monastery of
Ascetics in Egypt. Despite a directive from the patriarch Abba Mikael to return, Yǝsḥaq
refused due to his old age and limitations. That night, while praying in the
church, the Virgin Mary appeared to him, rebuking him for abandoning her feast
but acknowledging his past good deeds. She promised him that he would join her
in heaven in three days, a promise that came true as Yǝsḥaq passed away
peacefully three days later. </p>
