Finance Management System

Overview

The Finance Management System is a web-based application built with Spring Boot. It is designed to help users effectively manage their finances by tracking income, expenses, budgets, and financial goals. Installation

1. Clone the Repository

git clone https://github.com/your-username/finance-management-system.git
cd finance-management-system

2. Configure the Database

  • Update the application.properties file in the src/main/resources directory:
spring.datasource.url=jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/finance_db
spring.datasource.username=your_username
spring.datasource.password=your_password
spring.jpa.hibernate.ddl-auto=update

3. Build and Run the Project

mvn clean install
mvn spring-boot:run
  • Access the application at: http://localhost:8080

Usage

  1. Register an account or log in using default admin credentials:

    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin123
  2. Start managing finances:

    • Add income and expenses.
    • Set budgets and track progress.
    • View analytics and download reports.
