I'm interfacing with my PrivateGPT through the API documented on the website. I'm using the v1/chat/completions entry point. I'm feeding the same questions in the same order through the web gui and through the API and the ones through the web gui are much better than what I get through the API. I'm in Query Docs mode on the web gui.
Here's an example:
Question: When do I use personal time?
Web GUI:
_Based on the context provided, it is recommended that you plan ahead and inform your team if you are taking personal time off. The steps to follow include coordinating with software lead(s), checking with systems and program lead(s), checking with your manager and/or supervisor, finding a backup if necessary, and advertising the dates of your time off on various calendars and the Vacation Approvals website.
It is important to note that scheduled time off should not come as a surprise to your team, so make sure to post the dates well in advance. While you are away, use the Outlook Out of Office Assistant to let people know you are out and who they can contact as your backup. This will help ensure a smooth transition during your absence.
So, if you are considering taking personal time, follow these steps to make sure your team is prepared and informed._
API:
According to the context provided, you should coordinate your time off, including personal time, with your manager and supervisor, set it on your Outlook Calendar as Out of Office, and advertise it to relevant teams or groups. The emphasis is on planning ahead and ensuring that your absence is not a surprise to others in the organization. Therefore, personal time should be scheduled and communicated following these guidelines.
What is different about how the web gui does it compared to my API calls?
Here are my parameters:
messages => system message is first and then a series of user questions and assistant responses
IncludeSources = true
Stream = false
UseContext = true
I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong. Any help would be fantastic!
Josh
