What happened?

It is possible to lose all tabs in a window's workspace by causing Zen to close the window when moving the last tab out of the window.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Zen window in the default workspace
  2. Open second window in the default workspace
  3. In second window, open a new tab (so you now have two tabs open in the second window)
  4. Create a new workspace
  5. Swap back to the default workspace and move one of the tabs to the new workspace using "Right Click > Change tab to workspace"
  6. Swap back to the default workspace and drag the remaining tab from window 2 to window 1.

Reproducible?

  • I have checked that this issue cannot be reproduced on Mozilla Firefox.

If you use Ctrl + Shift + T to reopen the window, the default workspace is restored but the other workspace is hidden. I say hidden because if you then close the window, Zen will prompt you with "Close 2 tabs?" even though only one tab is visible. So it seems like the other workspace is still loaded but inaccessible.

Here you can see there's 1 tab open, no workspaces in the switcher at the bottom, and 13 inaccessible tabs:
