Delay introduced for sidebar to disappear when mouse is not hovered on it in compact mode should be customisable

When in compact mode, the sidebar would be triggered with a mouse hover, and the sidebar would go away when the mouse is away from it. Versions before 1.7b, there was no delay for when the side bar would disappear. In 1.7b a small delay was introduced - my proposal is that this should be a customizable setting.

Really interested in seeing this fixed, the new change makes compact mode unusable when you are switching between a few tabs quickly.

Even worse - sometimes the sidebar just wont close

I would turn this into an issue. Definitely a noticeable delay now.
