Quite right. The current driver only goes up to kernel 4.14.

There is a new version of the driver at https://github.com/gordboy/rtl8812au

and I understand zebulon is in the process of changing to this, once tested.

So you have 3 choices.

Stay on kernel 4.13 or 4.14.
Use the gordboy source.
Wait for the zebulon source.
