UML like diagrams in project's scope?

I played around a bit with this library, and found it fairly approachable and nice to use. I would be interested to use it for UML like diagrams, in particular SYSML for modelling complex systems. But I guess this would imply fairly large changes:

• Wires would probably need to be an enum, and rendering would be different depending on the variant
• The number of pins would be variable / pins may not make sense at all
• and probably more

Is this something that you feel could fit within the project's scope? I might be able to contribute some bits, but I am 100% an amateur.
