Hello,
i get the following error The substrate has to be a single piece to fill unused areas with this command.

kikit panelize -p ./kikit/frame.json 3w6.kicad_pcb ./kikit/panel/3w6.kicad_pcb

Can someone help me, what this error message means?

The error means that you tried to copper-fill unused areas on the discontinuous panel (composed of multiple pieces of substrate that are not connected). Remove copper fill and observe the panel.

This check is there for historical reasons, and in theory, we could get rid of it. Nevertheless, it doesn't make sense to manufacture a discontinuous panel.

PS: copperfill in post is deprecated, and it is preserved only for older configurations. For new configurations, it is advised to use the --copperfill section instead.

Thank you for your advice. Changed it, but the problem was a different one.

The problem was, i moved some edge cuts and forgot to move the Kikit Tabs footprint.
Hopefully this helps someone and saves wasting time 🫣
