Festival da Canção is Portugal's most important song contest. Running on a yearly basis, its winners get a coveted spot at the Eurovision contest. We're looking to gather (and upload!) the data about the competing songs.

The main challenge: Compiling scattered and unstrutured data from 1964 to 2022.

A few caveats:

  • The structure of the contest changed over time.
  • There were no editions in 2002, 2013 and 2016.
  • Songs from 2016 to 2022 should be easy to find on RTP's website, and there's already a template for data modeling (yes, it includes author as one of the properties). Example object: "Fim do Mundo" (Q117088151)

Any hints or preliminary research as to where data from before 2016 can be found? Or is discovering that part of the work to be done here?
